The Traverse City Whiskey Co. XXX Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the distillery’s take on the quintessential American bourbon whiskey. Made from a traditional bourbon mash bill of corn, rye, and malted barley, the whiskey is aged in new American white oak barrels for at least 4 years before being bottled at 86 proof. The result is a delectably sweet bourbon that perfect for sipping but still holds its own when mixed into cocktails.
Each sip of this gorgeous bronze liquor starts with a powerful nose of caramel, vanilla, cherries, cocoa, and cake batter with subtle hints of grass. This is complemented by a sweet palate of more vanilla, caramel, clove, grilled peaches, sweet corn, pepper, tobacco, and a light rye spiciness shored by a moderately long and dry finish with notes of honey and youthful pine.
